A MAN has been jailed for breaching a restraining order.
Corey Williams, 23, pleaded guilty to harassment - breach of a restraining order on conviction – when he appeared at Workington Magistrates’ Court last week.
Williams had been within 100 metres of an address in Whitehaven, which he was prohibited from doing by a restraining order imposed by Carlisle Crown Court on May 17, 2022.
Williams, of no fixed abode, Cleator Moor, was jailed for 14 days. Reasons given for custody were the defendant’s previous record and the deliberate breach of the order committed while on post sentence supervision.
Williams must pay £85 costs on his release from prison.
