LOCAL business Wilson's Butchers has donated £200 to Egremont Amenity's upcoming Winter Wonderland Weekend.
Established in 2012, the event has enjoyed consistent support from Wilson's Butchers, whose donations have played a crucial role in ensuring the event continues.
In a recent statement, organisers said: "Affordability is at the forefront of our committee so that everyone in our community is able to attend our Christmas event but to enable this continue, we have made a decision to have our Winter Wonderland event every other year and to help with fundraising, in between the event."
The event, set for November 25 and 26 from 9.30am to 4pm, will offer food and craft stalls, live music, and festive singing from local choirs. Father Christmas confirmed his attendance and complimented Egremont's polite children, who he said he 'looks forward to seeing'.
The organisers won't charge children to see Santa, but will instead use donation buckets.
