THE West Cumbria Search and Rescue team has been called out to assist in the search for a missing person.
The person was labeled high risk and they were assisted by police dogs and mountain rescue.
A spokesperson said: "The team was tasked by Cumbria Police to assist in a high-risk missing person search in the Maryport and surrounding areas along with colleagues from Maryport Rescue, Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team SARDA search Dog and Police search dog.
"Following a 9.5 hour search involving around 30 officers covering a wide area the welcome news came through that the missing person had been found safe and well in Cockermouth Town Centre
"A very good example of multi-agency collaborative working with a positive outcome."
