A town councillor has praised the recent Pride event in Whitehaven.
Pride by the Harbourside was held on Whitehaven harbour on Saturday, September 16.
It was a major success with crowds heading down to the harbour to enjoy a range of attractions including a small fairground and food stalls.
Big names in the world of music like East 17 also performed on stage later in the evening.
Edwin Dinsdale, of Whitehaven Town Council praised the event, he said: "Anything that brings much-needed footfall to the town in my opinion is more than welcome.
"I think for anybody or any group to want to express themselves through festivals and music and events like that is a good thing that I'm in favour of."
