Police in the Copeland area have identified youths involved in criminal damage. 

The incident took place at Woodhouse in Whitehaven new furniture belonging to a day care centre was damaged. 

A spokesperson from Cumbria Police said: "Following an incident received reporting Criminal Damage to outdoor furniture newly purchased by the daycare services at St Peter's Community Hall on Woodhouse, a number of youths have been positively identified by Community Officers which has now resulted in an ongoing investigation.

"Offences of this nature will not be tolerated and offenders will be robustly dealt with."
