LAMPLUGH pub and restaurant, The Countryman, have offered up a safe space in their pool room to discuss mental health with mates.
This month is National Suicide Prevention Month, and at the beginning of September, The Countryman annouced the new plans, saying "we understand about mental health and in the farming community in particular."
Each Wednesday, the pub will open their pool room from 7pm until 9pm, and provide a free soft drink to those who come in to have a chat with each other in a safe enviroment. They annouced the plans via Facebook and said: "Being a rural destination pub, we want to make sure everyone has a safe place to come to and TALK!"
"Don't forget that we are also here to listen. The staff are always on hand for you to come and have a chat to, even just to share your day with us. This stands every day, not just a Wednesday!"
"Don't lock up those feelings, talking always helps!"
