A YOUNG pageant star who competed in a national competition has made the top 100 World finalists for a child model magazine.

Vogue Boyd from St. Bees, came fourth in the 'International Junior Miss United Kingdom' and placed first in the categories photogenic, photoshoot and IJM Dream Model.

Vogue's mum, Chelsea said: "After IJM, Vogue was gutted she didn’t win, but it was her first time competing against some amazing girls, I thought she would give up, but she said she wanted to carry on, she knows what she needs to do better next time around."

In August, Vogue competed in a charity pageant in Newcastle called Miss Empower and came runner up. She collected 205 bras for charity a-sisterhood, where she won a medal for the most bras collected at the pageant and was also in the top five fundraisers raising £505.

Vogue's mum, Chelsea said:"Since IJM, she has met lots of amazing pageant girls who are now friends from all over the country , so going to Miss Empower to see them all again she was rather excited. She was more prepared for Miss Empower hence why she placed so well."

Vogue has been announced in the Top 100 World finalists for Child Model Magazine for Child Model of the Year. The top 50 announced are annouced in November and the winner is crowned in December, where they will feature in an American magazine , win £5000 and features in adverts.

Next year, Vogue is competing for 'International Junior Miss' in April at Andover. 

Chelsea said: "With more interview, walking, modelling coaching and appearing at events she will be more ready than ever for IJM in 2024."

"Vogue is out in Venice this month for a fashion shoot with a well known pageant photographer, makeup artist and hair artist . We are rather excited for her outfits including a 5m long high flying dress. This which will add to her portfolio collection for IJM in April."
