A Hollywood movie director has endorsed the work of a local musician and artist.

During an interview, Peter Osterhaus, who is a director of photography at NBC Universal, praised the work of Emma Hunt from Egremont.

He explained that he was enthralled with Emma's new sing 'I'm Evil, Evil' and explained he hopes she is able to get something going for herself with her musical career.

Emma has been expanding her career over recent years and plays a lot of gigs around the local area.

In the interview, Mr Osterhaus said: "I've been at Universal Studios for 25 years and have been in the industry for 30, I've met everybody from all categories of artistic ability and the person that I've known now for a number of years is Emma Hunt.

"Emma just exploded to me, her ability to sing and create these songs was truly amazing, and having her as a friend but also as an artistic friend is amazing, she's fantastic.

"I'm Evil, Evil is a perfect song in its uniqueness for television and film and I really hope that she gets something going here because it would be such a loss to the industry if she didn't extremely blow up."

Ms Hunt added: "I got to know him by social media, he's never done this for anyone else. It's amazing as he's an Emmy award-winning director who works in Hollywood.

"He's really got behind me with my music and sees a future for my songs.

"I spent a lot of time getting to know him but I didn't realise how connected to the industry that he was.

"He's gone out and said this and is putting himself on the line, he's working with movie stars and really talented people all the time and he's just wanting to help me get my music out there as an endorsement for my work.

"I just hope people will cotton on to what he's said in the interview video."
