A MAN will stand trial next month after denying an assault charge.
Daniel Wileman, 40, pleaded not guilty to assault by beating when he appeared at Workington Magistrates’ Court today (August 7).
Wileman, of Westmorland Road, Whitehaven, is accused of assaulting a person in Whitehaven on June 22.
A trial will be held September 8. The defendant was granted bail on the condition that he does not contact two named individuals in any way.
