Entrepreneur Amy Wright, the founder of AW Promotions and Events, has successfully secured a new collaboration.

She will work with the New Crown Club, at Bowthorn Road on Cleator Moor.

Amy explained how the collaboration works with the pub, she said: "I have an extensive system of Cumbria and beyond bands and artists, originals and covers which the genres range from alt-rock, rock, and pop.

"The landlady Stephenie Jenkinson and I have agreed on one or two gigs on a Friday each month for the rest of 2023.

"Our aim working together is to bring fresh, live music to the local area, keeping live music alive, and seeing everyone enjoy themselves whilst discovering local and beyond talent."

The following gigs have been booked to date, Kyle Newrick on Friday, May 19, Ellipsis, Friday, June 16, Zoe Glencross, Friday, July 14, Dana Luna, Friday, August 11, Late Night Fiasco, Friday, August 25, Amy Winehouse Tribute, Friday, October 6 and Kelly Marie as Cher on Friday, November 3.

In the next upcoming gig on Friday, Jue 16, Ellipsis is described as a lively local duo that consists of Kayleigh and Louisa. The duo is very popular and never fails to get everyone dancing.

For those that haven't yet discovered Dana Luna, Dana is an alt-pop indie rock songstress and former Miss British Isles model. Dana's latest single 'Mascara' has been featured on BBC Radio One's Futures Alternative Show, along with multiple plays on Kerrang! Radio.

Alex Baker of Kerrang!, said; "The insanely talented Dana Luna there with 'Mascara', that is an absolute earworm. At one point it sounds like vintage Blink 182 but then there's a sort of modern indie reference in there as well."

All the gigs for 2023 are free entry and everyone can keep up to date by following @awpromotions on Facebook and Instagram. Which will provide viewers with the latest updates by notification.
