West Cumbrian entrepreneur Amy Wright has been working hard over the past few months in preparation for her next gig.

Amy of AW Promotions & Events will be hosting her next gig at The Solway Hall in Whitehaven.

Amy's sourced all three bands for the lineup to ensure they fit each other's styles.

A spokesperson said: "Headline band Anchor Lane are Scotland's emerging rockers that everyone needs to know about.

"Their second album Call This a Reality? feature singles Stutter, I Don't have another soul to Pour and Choke.

"They have already been kicking up a storm on BBC Radio 1, along with recently being announced to play this year's Isle of Wight Festival.

"Anchor Lane has cited a wide range of influences including Nothing But Thieves, Royal Blood, Biffy Clyro, Queen of the Stone Age, and Foo Fighters. Connor, Lawrence, and Graeme recorded their new material in Glasgow with producer Brian Rintoul, who has worked with Twin Atlantic.

"Opening up the stage first will be Whitehaven's very own Alt-Rockers Religion of Tomorrow. Their latest single Human on the BBC Music Introducing show on BBC Radio Cumbria, along with plenty of other radio stations including The Rock Factory.

"Their latest EP Smoke and Mirrors which was released in April 2023, currently has over 10k plays on Spotify.

"Secondly on stage will be, Carlisle-based alternative/punk rock band ARGUER. The band has created addictive and catchy sounds that have caught the attention of BBC Music Introducing Cumbria, BBC Radio 1, venues such as Outpost Liverpool, The Source Carlisle, and many more.

"The gig on Saturday, July 1, is full of original, emerging rock bands, that need to be seen and heard and for the bands to see everyone's support will be amazing."
