WITH the Crab Fair returning this year after a three-year absence, Cumbria will also see the return of the World Gurning Championships.
Planning is currently underway for both the fair and the championships and organisers are looking for people to get involved.
A spokesperson from the Egremont Crab Fair & World Gurning Championships said: "After a three-year absence 2023 sees the Egremont Crab Fair & World Gurning Championships return, has anybody missed us?
"This year also sees return of the World Gurning Championships - Mens, Womens and Juniors.
"Do you feel you have a face that can beat current men’s world champion Tommy Mattinson or our current women’s champion Claire Lister?
"Planning is underway but if you feel you can help out we welcome any new committee members or helpers. Please just DM the page."
