A WHITEHAVEN charity shop is supporting prisoner rehabilitation by offering clothing created by them.
The Salvation Army Charity Shop says the clothing is sustainable and created from denim bags.
The branch, in Whitehaven, showed off the new clothing on their Facebook page. In a post they said: "Our beautiful denim window featuring our 100 per cent recycled denim bags."
The clothing is a part of a new programme whereby prisoners from HMP Five Wells create and construct the clothing as part of a prisoner workshop rehabilitation program.
The Facebook post continued: "The Salvation Army Trading Company are proud to support this program."
Salvation Army's shop front is now proudly displaying the new collection which includes tops, shirts, pants, bags and more.
