MUNCASTER Castle will host the music programme from The Gather Ennerdale in a unique arts collaboration.

Ennerdale Promotions CIC has been offering musical events since 2020 in its series, “Great Artists-Small Venue” at the Arts Council accredited venue Upstairs@TheGather. This new collaboration aims to further extend the range of musical performances available to us in West Cumbria.

Muncaster Castle similarly has had a long tradition of music and arts performances in collaboration with Rosehill Theatre and more recently hosted the True North Strong Festival featuring the band Hardwicke Circus.

Peter Maher, founder of the Great Artists-Small Venue music project said: “Our gala event brings together two favourites with Cumbrian audiences, Snake Davis and Gareth Mouton."

"To mark this occasion, Muncaster will display all of its splendour by hosting a Gala Dinner followed by high quality music in the majesty of the Great Hall”

The Guest of honour at the Gala Event will be the ex-MP for Workington, Sue Hayman now elevated to the House of Lords as Baroness Hayman of Ullock.

Sue Hayman and Snake Davis, having been such great supporters of music Upstairs@TheGather have recently been enlisted as Patrons of the music programme.

Sue Hayman, said: “Last July I jumped at the chance to be a Patron of this great project and would like to enlist the help of everyone to support this wonderful social enterprise music venture."

"It is bringing great artists and performers to a small rural community in West Cumbria and has attracted a wide local, national and international audience for its live, and live streamed, performances”
