Pupils across the West Lakes Multi Academy Trust have raised hundreds of pounds for Children in Need.
Youngsters at Arlecdon Primary School took part in a sponsored walk up Dent.
Headteacher Sophie McCabe said: “All Key Stage One and Key Stage Two pupils showed resilience and determination and supported one another on the sponsored walk up Dent. Thankfully the weather stayed dry, and we only got a little muddy.
“Children in the early years completed a nursery rhyme ramble. They rambled around the local area while singing nursery rhymes, while dressed as nursery rhyme characters. We are delighted that together we have raised a total of £473.”
West Lakes Academy in Egremont raised £582.27 for this year’s Children in Need appeal by holding a cake sale and Pudsey Bear face painting at break time.
The academy also held its annual game of egg roulette in return for sponsorship from the students.
A group of teachers took it in turns to face off against one another, cracking what could either be a raw or hard-boiled egg over each other. Competitors had to choose their egg of choice wisely.
