PUMPKINS, scarecrows, and a covered market selling unique gifts, will arrive at Distington Walled Garden’s Harvest Festival this Saturday.
On October 29 all are welcome to peruse market stalls from 14 local traders, enjoy hot drinks and snacks, and take in the autumnal surroundings.
The garden will be open from 10am until 4pm and there will be seasonal activities held throughout the day. Children can join in the fun and games with apple bobbing, and warm up with a hot dog.
A Copeland Borough Council spokesperson said: "There are plenty of artisan food stalls to sample, with goods ranging from jams and chutneys, to cocktails and antiques.
"For those wanting to practice their artistic side, there will be two craft competitions. Visitors can make scarecrows and carve pumpkins to decorate the festival, for the chance to win a cash prize.
"Competition entries should be placed in the garden from Monday to Friday (October 24 to October 28) - the gates will be open daily from 8am until 4pm, and entry forms will be available in the garden’s bungalow."
