A COUPLE from Frizington have recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary... and have shared the secret to a long and happy marriage.
Janet and Brian Byers celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary at the start of September.
The couple were married on September 1, 1962 and have shared a happy life together ever since.
Janet and Brian have three daughters and a son.
Janet and Brian have shared their formula for a long and happy marriage, saying: "You should always give and take.
"You need to have perseverance and never go to bed on an argument."
The couple celebrated the big occasion by enjoying a meal with family. Their two daughters are treating them by taking them on holiday in September to Cyprus.
