An art gallery in Egremont have announced their featured artists for Septbember.

Lowes Court have said that Pauline Sanders and Chris Robson will be having their work featured in the gallery throughout the month.

Pauline, who is based in Seascale, enjoyed painting and creating as a child and went on to become a trained florist and businesswoman but unfortunately after a spinal injury had to give up her business and shop. Now she is a dedicated painter/artist who soaks up the therapy of nature and portrays it on canvas in her own way.

Ms Sanders said: "Painting for me is not necessarily about what I see but how I feel – forging a relationship with the senses – the colourful waves of a bright dream."

Chris Robson is a regular exhibitor at Lowes Court, where he has exhibited his rather quirky watercolours for many years. He gives his pictures no titles, hoping that there are questions in them that will intrigue the viewer for many years. His subjects often include figures in silhouette, perhaps on a deserted beach, the colours leaving undertones to the imagination.

The two artist’s works are on view at Lowes Court until Saturday, October 8.
