ANOTHER public search has been organised to find missing Maryport man, Glen Jackson after the police wind down their own search.

Glen's family friend, Lauren Orme organised the search which takes place on Friday August 19 from 12 noon. The search will start at the Maryport light house.

Lauren will be taking names and numbers to make sure no one gets lost. She issued guidance for the walk, saying:

"People will need walking sticks and gloves as we will be ratching in heavy vegetation, sturdy boots or shoes/wellys and long pants/long sleeved tops for the nettles."

"Refreshments will be provided for people who are searching, people will be put into groups."

The search will cover areas such as Maryport shore and various riverbanks across the area.

The news of the new search follows after the police wound down their search for Glen after no viable leads were made.
