School leavers to 'benefit' from career advice after school result days.

As students receive their A-level exam results on Thursday, August 18 and GCSE results on Thursday 25, Bridge Northumberland will be offering dop in support sessions for students with their results at Prudhoe Community Hub, on 61 Front St, Prudhoe.

The sessions will be on Friday, August 19 and 26 at 10am-2pm and aims to support but also reassure students in finding a job, further education, apprenticeships while also careers advice.

At the drop in session, there will be staff from the weekly Prudhoe Community Partnership Hub who will also be joined by National Career Service, Northumberland Careers Guidnce and the Bridge Northumberland team.

“Young people leaving school after their exams can often find themselves in unexpected situations, maybe because exams haven’t gone to plan or they find themselves questioning the path they had previously planned," Caroline Rogan, CEO Northumberland CVA and lead partner for Bridge Northumberland, said.

"Young people with qualifications can also face barriers to employment, perhaps a lack of experience or health and social welfare issues.

"So one size doesn’t fit all – at Bridge Northumberland’s we offer one-to-one support tailored to individual needs.”
