Muncaster Castle is to host the second ‘Krankenhaus’ micro-festival over the Bank Holiday weekend of 26-29 August 2022.

Krankenhaus is a boutique, micro-music festival featuring performances from a line-up of acclaimed bands, including Cumbria’s highest charting band, ‘Sea Power’, along with other events such as film screenings, poetry recitals, and book readings.

The festival is the work of Cumbria’s BAFTA-winning, Mercury-nominated rock band ‘Sea Power’ in partnership with Aerial, a festival organisation which looks to mix sounds, words, performance and film inspired by the natural, cultural and social history of Cumbria and the Lake District.

Krankenhaus is set to feature an eclectic mix of live appearances including snooker-legend, Steve Davis who will be DJ’ing and performing with his band, The Utopia Strong.

While acclaimed poet laureate Simon Armitage will be holding a live poetry reading, before switching up the tempo with his band, LYR.
