THIS week's trader of the week is Lunchbox in Whitehaven, a local food hotspot which offers delicious treats, happy smiles and a place for a 'friendly crack'.
Lunchbox is owned by Christina Shields, 33.
Christina is originally from Manchester but has lived in Whitehaven for more than 20 years now.
The eatery has been thriving since the doors opened back in May, and is going from strength to strength.
Christina's hopes and aspirations for the future of the Lunchbox is to simply carry on doing what she loves to do whilst being a friendly, local place people can always rely on for 'delicious food, a happy smile and a friendly crack.'
Christina hopes that Lunchbox can be developed into a brand making it the go to place for lunches, parties and catering.
She added: "You hope to develop a jewel the town will love for generations."
When asked about life as a business owner, Christinia said: "The best thing about owning my own business is having the freedom to experiment with different foods whilst having a good work and home balance to be able to spend time with my family.
"The fact customers come back time and time again makes it all worthwhile."
"But none of this would be possible is it wasn't for the strong team I have around me."
The items served at Lunchbox are all highly rated but some of the most popular dishes have been the chicken fajita toasted wraps or the BBQ pastrami brisket ciabattas which is currently on the specials.
The shop recently started serving a 'platter box on the go' which have proved popular.
Christina spoke about what she thinks sets her business apart from others, saying: "I think because we don't take ourselves too seriously, we love having a crack with our customers and we like to try new things regularly."
The Lunchbox is currently running a competition for the children of Whitehaven where all they have to do is draw or colour a picture of a lunchbox and pop it in the shop for a chance to win a sweet treat hamper.
