Lowes Court Art Gallery in Egremont have announced their featured artist for August. 

Natalie Burns, of Whitehaven, will have her work featured at the gallery next month.

A spokesperson from Lowes Court described Natalie's work, they said: "Six years ago Natalie had her first solo exhibition at the gallery and this new selection showcases her range of styles and her journey so far.

"Always working with subjects that capture her interest and curiosity her love of experimenting with different materials is evident in the wide range of media used.

"Watercolour pencils, soluble ink pens, acrylic and watercolour paints all feature in her work.

"Forced to stay home during the pandemic she began to look for new subjects to paint.

"Her recent work depicting the Georgian buildings in Whitehaven has been recognised as a great promotion for the town and she is now painting streets in other local towns and villages.

"With such a wide range of styles there will surely be something for everyone to enjoy."

On Tuesday, August 2, Natalie will be hosting a preview night at 6.30pm to discuss what she is currently working on. 

The Gallery, stocks a range of locally produced arts and crafts, including paintings and photographs by other artists.
