WHEN I heard there was a new sandwich delivery service in Ulverston I knew I just had to try it.

Lunch is my favourite meal of the day because there is so much variety to what you can have - my personal favourite being a big tasty sandwich.

Two Jack’s is a new sandwich delivery service which launched last week for the people of Ulverston and the surrounding areas to purchase freshly-made products to enjoy and I was lucky enough to try three of their special sandwiches on offer.

The business offers both meat and vegetarian options from halloumi, avocado, and hummus to garlic chilli prawns and chicken Emmental served on a baguette or ciabatta which are cooked daily.

I tried the Garlic Chilli Prawn, Coronation Chicken and Cajun chicken sandwiches all in a freshly cooked baguette.

I was most intrigued with the Garlic Chilli Prawn, first of all being a prawn lover but secondly because it was served with avocado cream and shoots.

I love avocado. Being a millennial who jumped on the bandwagon when avocado blew up on the internet it was all I used to eat on toast but to have it in a sandwich with Garlic Chilli Prawns never crossed my mind but it was delicious.

It was full of rich flavours which explode in your mouth and leave you wanting more. I do wish however there were a few more prawns. I’m not sure if that is just me lowing prawns and being greedy but thankfully I had two other sandwiches to try at this point. The Mail: A selection of meat and veggie options are on offerA selection of meat and veggie options are on offer

Next, I tried the coronation chicken sandwich. I usually avoid coronation chicken as they are traditionally mixed with sultanas which I am not a big fan of but I was delighted to hear there was none in Two Jacks mixture.

Instead, it was just the typical coronation mixture with mango chutney, curry powder, lemon juice and coriander. Yet again it was full of flavour and the mango chutney was really apparent. There was plenty of mixtures to fill the sandwich with plenty of meat this time.

Finally, I tried the Cajun chicken sandwich. In recent years cajun chicken has really hit it off with cafes and restaurants in the area selling the dish which I love!

This Cajun chicken baguette was served with creamy aioli, with rocket and tomato, I’m usually not a big salad lover but the rocket was definitely a nice touch as cajun can often be a little spicy, it had a little kick but was still really enjoyable which the salad added another flavour to the mix.

The price ranges from £4-£4.50 depending on what type of bread you decide to choose but for the amount of filling, flavour and size of the item you are buying it is definitely worth it. It is also great to be helping out a new start-up, a local business.

All orders can be placed from Monday-Friday before 10am and can be ordered by emailing: deliverulv@gmail.com.
