St Nicholas Gardens in Whitehaven play host to another of the popular Cumbrian Traders Markets on Friday 29, July.

The Markets were established three years ago and have grown in popularity ever since.

The markets are held on the last Friday of each summer month and feature craft and food producers from all over Cumbria but with a major focus on small traders in the west of the county.

Local businessman and co founder of the markets, Gerard Richardson MBE DL said: "In these challenging times, we have to find new and entertaining ways of getting folk to rediscover the town centre and markets like this are a real bonus.

"When the marquees go up, there’s a change in the atmosphere in the town centre and we need to continue doing more of these type of events.

"St Nicholas Gardens are right in the heart of the town and provide an excellent location for traders new and old to ply their trade and organisers are always keen to attract new talent so if you have a new business idea or indeed an old one that you have yet to test on a public market, please contact Whitehaven Town Council on clerk@whitehaventowncouncil.co.uk."
