WITH high temperatures and sunshine touted for the weekend, hopefully we may get a summer yet.

And in the case of roaring sunshine or even torrential downpours, we've created a list to keep you entertained over the weekend.

  1. Six Little Fingers. Performing at Whitehaven's Marchon Sports & Social Club on July 16 is Six Little Fingers, a Stiff Little Fingers cover band.
  2. House Matters afterparty. Those up for dancing may want to attend this event at the Clocktower in Millom, which has a maximum capacity of 200 people. It takes place from July 16 at 11pm to July 17 at 2am.
  3. Wheels for All. Autism charity Bee Unique is putting on an inclusive cycling event, which is for everyone. The event is going to take place on July 16 from 12pm to 12:50pm at Copeland Stadium in Whitehaven.
  4. Llama Llama. Trio Llama Llama plays The Shipwrights in Whitehaven on July 16, playing hits from Foo Fighters, Blondie The Police, and more.
  5. Whitehaven match. Haven face Super League-chasing Featherstone Rovers on July 17 at the LEL Arena. Gates open at midday with £10 entry before 1pm and kids go free with an accompanying paying adult all day.
  6. A summer breakfast event is taking place at The Bus Station in Whitehaven on July 14. Enjoy some breakfast and then have a tour of the space if it's your first visit.
  7. Beach clean. Help St Bees Litter Champions to keep St Bees beach clean by joining in this event on July 16 from 10am to 11:30am. This month they will be walking along the beach and picking litter that has been washed up on the pebbles.
  8. Comedy club. Rosehill Theatre hosts a regular comedy club, with its next instalment taking place on July 15.
  9. Sand Castles. This and other seaside activities are best experienced during the summer, and with sunshine here for the week, why not head down to the beach?
  10. Walking tour. Join Graham Barney for a Walking Tour of pits, presidents and pirates. Starting at The Beacon Museum the tour takes you around the harbour and Whitehaven Town with lots of information and facts.
