LAST weekend, the Keekle Community Park hosted a Jubilee family fun day at the park.

The huge Jubilee party included performances from three musical acts, duck races, bbq and the crowning of their very own Queen. The event was a great success with over 400 people in attendance. 

The event was hosted from 12.00 until 6.00. Other fun activities there included raffles, games, an ice cream van and a bouncy castle.

Andrew Haslop who works for the Community Park said:

“ We had loads of positive feedback for the day and a lot of people have asked us to do it again”

“It definitely helped that it was a sunny day. The event was volunteer led but we had a lot of help from the community.”

The event was cleary a big success as Andrew said:

“We are hoping to make this an annual event.”

The event made over over £4,000 in profit which will go towards maintaining park.
