A city centre road closure on Thursday evening was caused by a teenager who climbed onto the roofs adjacent to Warwick Square - police confirmed.
The incident at Warwick Square led to the road being closed for a number of hours on May 19.
A spokesperson from Cumbria Constabulary said: "Police can confirm an incident which led to Warwick Road in Carlisle being closed has now been safely resolved.
"Emergency services shut the road for safety reasons after a teenager climbed onto roofs on the street at about 4.40pm today.
"A police negotiator was deployed as part of the emergency response and the teenager came safely down from the roof at 7.40pm," they said.
