A 65 year-old man has been charged with criminal damage and possession of a blade following tyres being damaged in a supermarket carpark.
Roland Armstrong, of Margaret Creighton Gardens, Carlisle, has been charged with three counts of criminal damage, as well as possession of a blade, following the incident that took place in Keswick's supermarket car park on Tithebarn Street, on April 25.
A spokesperson from Cumbria Constabulary said: "A man has been charged following reports of criminal damage to parked vehicles in Keswick.
"Officers received a report at around 1pm on 25th April of tyres being damaged in the car park on Lake Road and in a supermarket car park on Tithebarn Street, Keswick.
"Roland Armstrong, 65, of Margaret Creighton Gardens, Carlisle, has been charged with three counts of criminal damage and possessing a knife blade in a public place.
"He is to appear at Carlisle Crown Court on 23 May," they said.
