MAYOR: Chris Hayes involved in traffic accident
THE Mayor of Whitehaven Chris Hayes and his wife were involved in a car crash last week.
Whitehaven Town Council have released a statement about Chris Hayes.
A spokesperson said: "The Mayor of the Town Council, Councillor Chris Hayes and his wife were involved in a road traffic accident last Monday.
"Councillor Hayes is recovering in hospital and everyone at the Town Council wishes him a speedy recovery and looks forward to seeing him and working with him when he has recovered.
"If anyone wishes to send a get well card they can be handed in to the Town Council Offices at 148 Queen Street, Whitehaven and they will be passed on to Councillor Hayes."
