10- As we move into spring and the weather grows sunnier and more welcoming. The perfect place to visit is St Bees beach, just a short journey from Whitehaven is this stunning beach that pleases tourists and residents alike. 

9- If you haven't tried their food yet then the perfect place to visit would be Deja Brew. Offering a range of Asian and British food and beverages this place really does have it all. With stores in Hensingham, Cleator Moor and Egremont there really isn't too far to travel. Of course you could always have the food delivered. 

8- Whitehaven is right on the doorstep of the Lake District National Park. Why not head down to Ennerdale or Wasdale for a scenic stroll or even a trek into the fells.

3- There are some great coastal walks to be enjoyed in Whitehaven. You can take the coastal path from the harbour heading one way to St Bees or the other towards Harrington. 

2- There are some wonderful historic sites to visit in the town including the candlestick, which is part of the old Wellington Pit. There is also a range of historic churches like St James' and St Nicholas'.
