AN AMATEUR football team in west Cumbria has received new funding for some of their youth team kits.

Whitehaven AFC have received new sponsorship from Kevin Thompson Decorators Ltd for their new under 6 and under 7 girls kit.

A spokesman for the club said: "When new teams start, especially at the youngest ages, having a kit so they all feel as a team as well as part of the bigger club and look the same as all the other players right up to our Open Age Women's Team is so important. Kevin has been fantastic from day one and has supported the team really well and we are very thankful for that."
