St Bees RNLI Volunteers came to aid of a broken down fishing vessel, early on Thursday morning.
The volunteers were alerted to the situation after being notified by the Belfast Coastguard that the 12 metre boat had suffered a mechanical breakdown, leaving the two crew members stranded onboard.
After ten minutes of the volunteers being in the water, they had made contact with the broken down ship, which was situated 1.5 miles off St Bees North Head.
The vessel was then towed back to the safety of Whitehaven Harbour.
St Bees RNLI took to Facebook to congratulate the volunteers on their efforts: "A successful shout for some of our junior crew."
