Readers have been having their say after - for the second day in a row - there were no PCR tests available in England.

People in England were once again unable to book a PCR test at walk-in and drive-in centres on Thursday December 23.

They were also unable to order PCR tests for home.

Test booking was also unavailable in England for large parts of Wednesday.

PCR test kits which are posted to people’s homes, usually arriving the following day, were unavailable for both the public and essential workers, the NHS website said.

Elsewhere in the UK, parts of Northern Ireland also had limited availability.

While they were available in Down, there were very few available in Antrim and Derry. While there were no PCR tests available in Tyrone, Fermanagh and Armagh.

PCR tests are available at walk-in and drive-in centres in all regions of Wales and across Scotland.

Although lateral flow tests are not currently available to order, you can pick them up in person from various locations. These include:

  • Local pharmacies
  • Covid testing centres
  • Nursery or childcare provider
  • Schools, colleges and universities
  • Some workplaces

Here's what you, the readers had to say.

Louise Boertien said: "You can just turn up to the walk in one on Cecil Street."
