A Pink Floyd tribute band from West Cumbria have announced a Halloween gig in Whitehaven.

DarkSide will perform a free show at the Lowther Club at 4:30pm on the 31st, meaning attendees will get to see the dark side of the moon after the performance.

The tribute band were formed in 2017 in the county. Since forming they have built a good reputation and now have a great following. Although many shows are performed locally and in the North, Darkside will play to Floyd fans anywhere.

Darkside were formed from a progressive rock band called Bugenhagen. To fill out the shows Bugenhagen would perform a few covers by Pink Floyd, Marillion, Steven Wilson and others. It was decided to separate the original music from the covers and create two projects - and so DarkSide was born.

DarkSide offer audiences an authentic, magical and professional Pink Floyd experience. All of the sequencing has been created and played in live by Johnny Turpin, who is also the lead singer and guitarist during shows. Paul Fligg plays the drums and looks after the computers and sound on stage. Mike Dale plays bass and backing vocals.

As entry to the show is free, guests are urged to arrive early to avoid disappointment.
