A TRIBUTE show based around female artists is taking place in Whitehaven this weekend.

Rosehill Theatre hosts Here Come the Girls on Friday at 7:30pm.

The concert features 11 different tribute artists.

These aim to celebrate some of the most popular women in music spanning over five decades.

The artists featured range from Cher and Maddona to Katy Perry and Adele.

The tribute act's website says: "All of your favourite songs from your favourite female artists, spanning 5 decades, in one spectacular fun, fast paced, energetic show!

"Here Come The Girls absolutely deliver and perform a dazzling star studded show. A non-stop extravaganza that will have the audience dancing in the aisles.

"Perfect for ladies nights, parties and family festivals. Incorporating large screen multimedia videos for added visual spectacle and available with professional dancers for large scale events."

The gig is part of Here Come the Girls' UK and Ireland winter tour.

The act features tributes to Cher, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Shania Twain, Annie Lennox, Gloria Estefan, Blondie, Katy Perry, Adele, Abba and Bananarama.

Tickets are available on the Rosehill Theatre website for £20, excluding booking fee.

The theatre encourages people to wear face coverings if possible.
