PLANS have been submitted to build a pair of semi-detached dwellings in Whitehaven, subject to planning approval.
Copeland Borough Council has received an application for planning permission to build two dwellings on Woodhouse Road, Whitehaven.
Agent Ken Thompson of Coniston Consultants is working with applicant Amit Sharma on the plans.
Their design and access statement said: "The proposed dwellings will be located on an area of land adjoining the complex, utilising an existing highway access and providing off road parking in the service yard whilst still retaining ample turning space and service yard area to the premises."
The site frontage is onto Woodhouse Road, an adopted highway with footpaths. It is noted in the design and access statement that the site is situated close to an existing bus route.
They said: "The proposed dwellings will have no detrimental visual impact on the area or adjoining properties and the design and massing, reflects the character and appearance of the locality generally by providing a small compact residential development, which will provide small family accommodation."
