AN application for planning permission has been submitted to Copeland Borough Council to demolish an existing outhouse and build a new extension to the rear of a property.

Mr J Cook has lodged plans to demolish an outhouse at 5 Herbert Hill, Whitehaven and extend the kitchen area to the rear of the property.

Walls will be rebuilt after the demolition of the outhouse to facilitate the extension which will increase the floor area of the existing kitchen.

The applicant said in their design and access statement that the extension's height will match that of the main building.

Materials matching the existing structure will be used to complete the external works.

Herbert Hill is a typical Georgian terrace property with a design that is in-keeping with many of the houses in the area. Access to the property will remain as it is.
