ONE the nation's best known political debate shows - BBC Radio 4's Any Questions - is to be hosted by Carlisle College.

The topical debate radio show - usually hosted by the senior BBC political journalist Chris Mason - will be staged at the college on Bonfire Night, Friday, November 5.

As fans of the long-running show will know, Any Questions? follows the 8pm news every Friday and was first broadcast in October 1948.
