The Seascale knitting and crochet group is starting up again.

The Seascale Knitting and Crotchet Club normally meets once a fortnight, every Wednesday, at 6pm, at the Windscale Club, a social club located on Gosforth Road in Seascale.

The venue is the function room at the Windscale club in Seascale.

It is reported that a nice large airy room is provided which will hopefully go a long way to make folk feel more at ease being in a group after such a long time spent in isolation during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, and the resulting forced restrictions to isolate that were in place for almost a year.

The club is one of several clubs across the nation that suffered greatly due to the impact of the pandemic restrictions, meaning that in person meetings, which are sometimes essential, were not possible or legal.

The club says all skill levels are welcome, help is always on hand and usually a bit of spare yarn is available.

There is no charge but they ask for £1.00 to go in the pot, which is subsequently donated to a local charity once a year, they also accept donations of yarn.
