COPELAND Age and Advice Service made a special trip to acknowledge World Alzheimers Day, on Tuesday, September 21.

The charity, which works with and helps over 55’s in Copeland to live independently through the provision of benefit checks and assistance with benefit claims, had a trip to The Beacon Museum, Whitehaven for their Rediscover Copeland Exhibition.

The 'Rediscover Copeland' exhibition is described as a photographic trips through the 50s and 60s, and is running in the museum’s Harbour Gallery until October 3.

It is a collaboration from Ivor Nicolas, The Beacon Museum and selected images from Signal Media who have been working with volunteers to archive images taken by Edward Sankey and his sons.

A spokesperson for the charity said: "Thank you to our lovely volunteers as always, for helping support the Memory Café, and thank you to Helen, our Dementia Project Worker, for running the group and baking the lovely cakes.
