Members of the public in Cumbria are being invited to a workshop that is being held next week to raise awareness about child exploitation.

Cumbria Safeguarding Children Partnership and the NSPCC are hosting the Child Exploitation Awareness Workshop for residents on Thursday, September 16.

The aim of the workshop is to provide an understanding of what child exploitation is, how you can spot the signs and report concerns.

The event, which is taking place online via Microsoft Teams from 6pm to 6.45pm, is interactive and there will be an opportunity for participants to ask questions if they wish to do so.

Cumbria Safeguarding Children Partnership is responsible for ensuring agencies work together to safeguard children and for testing how effectively this happens.
