2 bed terraced house, 14 Main Street, Frizington
This two-bed terraced house is coming to auction with a guide price of just £5,000 through public auction by Bond Wolfe Auctions. It is described as a "mid-terraced property, standing flush to the pavement." For your £5,000 you get a reception room, kitchen and WC on the ground floor, and a landing and two bedrooms on the first floor. To the rear there is an outside yard. The auction is taking place over livestream on September 9 at 9am. Bidders must pre-register no later than noon on September 8.
Suzanne Randell of auctioneers Bond Wolfe explained: "The exact reserve price is set a few days prior to the auction. Therefore the guide price is an indication of what level the seller expects to get and must be within 10 percent of the reserve price.
"If the guide price is a single figure, the reserve price is a maximum of 10 percent more. For instance, if the guide price is £5,000+, the reserve price is a maximum of £5,500."
She also said that the houses are sold to all sorts of people.
"Our auction customers do include developers, but we also have landlords looking to grow their portfolios, home-buyers with DIY skills who fancy small projects and even first time buyers looking to get on the property ladder.
