A man has been jailed after headbutting an emergency worker and spitting at another.
Mark Daniel Malloy, 27, appeared at Carlisle Magistrates' Court and admitted three charges of assaulting three different police officers by beating.
His address was listed on court documents as HMP Holme House.
The court was told due to the seriousness of the offences - a headbutt to one officer and spit landing in the mouth of another -a prison sentence was to be imposed.
The offences happened on May 22 in Carlisle. Malloy was given a four-month prison sentence for two of the assaults, and a further two-months for the third assault, to run concurrently.
