MARATHON Man Gary Mckee will take on another challenge next Sunday in aid of Rochdale boy Freddie Lowe.

Chris Lowe, Freddie's father supported Gary whilst on his 110 marathon challenge and the Cleator Moor superman wished to give something back to his friend.

Chris came up to West Cumbria on the 104th day of his epic feet to run a marathon with Gary.

Gary will now do a marathon along with 10 other runners before Workington Town meet the Lowe family's side of Rochdale Hornet's at Derwent park next Sunday , June 20 to raise money for Young lives vs. cancer (Clic Sargeant) who have supported Freddie through his treatment.

Freddie was diagnosed with a rare form of children's cancer last October after a short illness which appeared to start with a sore throat and cold.

Talking about his latest mission and what it feels like to be able to support the cause, Gary said: “I think to just offer Chris the support that he needs, it,s great that we can do some thing to help out it’s the best feeling in the world.”

"What we’ve done with 110 reached out to more people further afield than in Cumbria and it’s great to continue that message of awareness and raise a bit of money."

It’s a great feeling being able to help people, other humans that are going through this fight to know that were there to support them ."

Were putting our shoes back on to help this charity and help out Chris and his family."
