Popular West Cumbria singer Cindy Hoten is looking forward to a special first event after lockdown.

She is performing for a man who turns 100 this month.

“It is so good to be able to sing again and especially to mark the birthday of a 100-year-old who has survived this awful pandemic,” she said.

Prior to Covid she said she had a full diary of events – weddings, restaurants, care homes and one-to-one vocal coaching – which all had to be cancelled.

Although she kept singing – during the first lockdown she did live stream songs into local care homes every week and did a VE Day, performed for the NHS in a closed street – she said she could not wait to sing to live audiences again. And the bookings are rolling in with at least four weddings in the near future.

But Cindy has also diversified into the wellbeing industry with Singercise, Indian head massage and facials. She has also trained in healing with Reiki. To see more, visit her Facebook page, Soul Reiki Retreat.
