SAINSBURY'S supermarket says it's looking to pluck 12 million plastic bottles from shorelines to help deal with plastic pollution in the seas.
The store is working to turn plastic collected from the coast into packaging for its strawberry and fresh fish range, removing over 297 tonnes of plastic.
This meams that 34 per cent of its fish and 80 per cent of punnet strawberries will be sold in packaging rescued from coastal areas
The retailer has pledging to halve its use of plastic packaging by 2025
