A police investigation is underway after a woman in her thirties was dragged around by her hair in the street.
Cumbria Police are asking anyone with any information to get in touch after the incident of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
The incident occurred on Thursday April 15 2021 at the bus stop on Egremont Main Street.
At approximately 2pm, a woman in her 30s was grabbed by the hair by another woman and dragged around causing hair loss and soreness.
Police are appealing for any witnesses that may have been present to come forward.
A spokesperson for Cumbria Police said: "Anyone with information or who witnessed the incident is encouraged to contact police on 101 quoting log number 134 of 16/04/2021.
"Alternatively, you can call the independent charity Crimestoppers, completely anonymously, on 0800555111."
