READERS have given their views over whether indoor mask wearing should still be compulsory after June 21.

The Government is looking to gradually relax restrictions with many removed by the above date.

Here’s what you thought on whether they should be kept:

Juliet Grieves said: “Only until all adults have been offered a vaccine and not compulsory anywhere after that.”

John Yates posted: “The Government can’t or won’t present any scientific evidence to support the wearing of masks.

“Lots of peer reviewed scientific papers say that they aren’t effective.”

Andrew Nelson said: “No and it should be lifted now.”

David Burns said: “No don’t need a mask or a jab. Let’s get on with life again.”

Carole Burnie posted: “Hope not, 12 hours plus in a mask at work is uncomfortable.”

Jo Hendry said: “I will definitely be glad when I don’t have to wear them for a full 12-hour shift.”

Mat Gray said: “Everybody will have a weak immune system if we carry on wearing them all the time. They may be helping stop the spread but what about the viruses that our bodies are able to naturally fight.”

Brenda Mitchell said: “Time to remove them.”

Kens Cab Banks said: “It should be left to the individual to decide.”

Andrew Curtis said: “If anyone noticed as well as the drop in Covid there has been a dramatic drop in flu and colds since masks have been worn.

“We should carry on with masks to stop the spread.”
