Visitors to Egremont Bowling Green will be able to relax and watch play from new benches, when the new season opens.
During the closed season, Egremont Town Council donated £344 for the cost of two benches.
The benches have plaques stating that the council donated them and they have been placed around the green for anyone to sit down on and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
The Bowling Green committee have been working hard to increase the membership of the green.
They have also worked hard to improve the grounds which won a Cumbria in Bloom award in 2019, so the benches are wonderfully placed to sit and enjoy the flowers and plants.
The club will be re-opening for this season on April 10, from 2pm to 4pm.
Existing members can pay their fees every day until April 9, from 10am to 12pm. Adult fees are £35 and under 16s are £15. Daily green fees for non-members is £4.
New members can try the club’s free ‘taster month’. Woods will be supplied and flat sole footwear is required.
